Update from Baltimore

Jamie was admitted to the hospital at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore on Friday night.  Dr. Cameron, after running tests,  found a pulmonary blood clot and admitted her to dissolve it.  They are hoping she will released from the hospital on Wednesday.   Dr. Cameron confirmed the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer as adenocarcinoma and currently they are waiting for the oncologists for their opinion on treatment plans.

Jamie's spirits are high and she is feeling good, and has even gained some weight while she has been in the hospital back there!  When she gets out the hospital, they plan to travel to New York to meet with one more doctor.  They will then return home to Arizona, to begin her treatment plan.  Thanks to everyone for all of your support and please keep praying for her, she definitely feels those prayers and all the love!
We all love you mom and can't wait for you to return!

Jamie, Ash, Mindee and fam-
Just wanted you to know that I am always thinking of you. As you know, my family fought this very same battle just one year ago. As much as it sucks, it's these trials that sew us (especially as moms and daughters) so tightly together. Jamie, you have always reminded me of my mom because of the way you are with your girls. I remember you telling the story of being in the hospital with your youngest daughter while she was delivering her baby and it really reminded me of why I always loved having my mom in my deliveries. (Truth be told, she was enough, Casey probably could of stayed home:)) No one can make you feel as safe and comforted as your mom.
I just wanted to let you know that I am always here as a resource and as a friend who's been thru it. My best advice is to have as much fun together as you can and let nothing go unsaid. And remember, no matter what any doctor says, you are not a statistic, you are a family that believes in the power of prayer and we are all praying for you.
Love always- Brianne Skidmore

Dear Jamie, Kent and Family,

We were so anxious to hear about the results of your tests, and the visit back East. Thanks for keeping us updated. We'll be so glad to get you back home!
We know the coming weeks will be difficult ones, but we hope it helps to know you're constantly in our prayers, and in the prayers of so many people. We know the Lord will bless and strengthen you as you begin treatment. If there ever was a fighter, it would be Jamie!!!!!
We loved seeing the pictures--what a blessing to have family!

Hang in there, dear friend!

Love,
Jeff and Linda
